Day 77

This is my last blog post. This blog wasn't easy. I even forgot last night.

As of today, it started snowing again. I also got some new shirts from Aeropostale because of a coupon. And I think my favorite jacket is falling apart. One of the buttons keeps irritatingly unbuttoning itself because of a wide button hole that was slowly ripping. Either I need to learn to sew or get rid of it. I can't get rid of it because I love that jacket. Although, I have a more fancier black one that I usually wear if I'm going to a place where one should dress nice. I don't often wear it because it makes my head looks smaller. I even got compliments on my corduroy jacket, but not this year yet.

But still, exciting for the new snow. And Christmas is only on Saturday.

Since I won't be blogging for the winter season, I want to wish all a Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. Have a good holiday, be festive, and all you Scrooges, at least show a little initiative. I had to for Thanksgiving. I'm sure you can, too.

Day 76

I don't think I'll do "90 Days of Winter". To be honest, this wasn't easy. I forgot certain days, I started out the blog with slow and unadventurous days, and I don't even think it;s been roughly 90 days since September 21st. Because I am sure that this is really day 76. Maybe next spring I'll do it again. If I do it then, then I'll have to blog on my birthday. Maybe I'll do that, but not winter.

Today was kind of fun until the evening. I got to spend time with my Kentucky friends who are leaving tomorrow, but then they went to see friends of theirs somewhere else in Chicago, and I spent most of the evening watching Friends on DVD. And a little Bewitched

Day 75

Fun day.

Today, some out-of-state came for a visit to spend the night. And we went to one of Oakbrook's expensive classy restaurants called Ditka's. They're son is the general manager so he came by to chat every few minutes.

I also did some cleaning in preparation for the visit. Also had some lunch from TGI Fridays but got stuck in traffic. You know, Christmas shopping. But lunch was great. I love TGI Fridays.

And tomorrow, I'm going to find a wreath because I still need one to display and that will conclude the decorating of the house. I got the tree with lights, garlands, and ornaments, and a tree skirt, some decorations around the house, and the stockings hanging by the chimney with care (I always say that when talking about Christmas stockings). And sometime next week, I have to go out to get ingredients for a pound cake, hopefully if the grocery store won't be too crowded, and then regretting to make it. I hate baking, but my cookies or cakes usually come out all right. I'm not a baker for real, but I have baked cookies once (I'll explain those another time) and I made two cakes. I don't have a passion for baking, but my sister-in-law is a baker. Her things are really good.

Day 74

It's so cold out.

But I still love the snow.

I also wrapped all my Christmas presents today. I'm waiting until next week to get socking stuffer stuff, but mainly I got all my gifts settled. Especially two that were sets. One is a winterwear accessories for my sister-in-law and a coffee and chocolate/candy set. It's just coffee, chocolate, and candy all wrapped in individual tissue paoper in a gift bag.

I love wrapping presents. I was listening to Christmas music while doing it and even created a system of which kinds of wrapping paper to wrap which kind of family member or friend.

And I'm going to see their faces on Christmas Day when they open them which will make me happy.

Day 72

My company showed up today. But they leave in the morning.

I was at the art gallery and they were at a restaurant near the bus stop that I get off at when I come home. So I went over to meet them. That's something that I like about myself is when we have a whole bunch of people over and I arrive home late with them possibly wondering where I've been.

Normally, I like to think that I'm not missed when I really am, but it's a nice thought I like to have. Really, it's no rush for me to get home to quickly to see the guests that I invite over. But I know I am missed because they say things like "We were waiting until you get home" or "Where have you been"?

Day 71

Yesterday I forgot to mention that saw Terms of Endearment yesterday. Well, first after getting home from grocery shopping, I watched the Amy Adams movie, Leap Year. That was alright. I've seen a better Amy Adams film, but it wasn't too bad.

And right after that I watched Terms of Endearment. Which made it to be the 11th Best Picture Oscar winner that I've seen. And it was so sad at the end. It was very good and Shirley MacLaine was really good. Especially, at the end scene. But fortunately, I can't cry.

I just don't. Sure I have tear ducts, but I don't cry. I get teary-eyed if I'm laughing too much, or if I'm really tired, or if I have the hiccups, but never out of sadness. And I kind of like that about myself. I just don't have the need to cry.

Day 70

So cold.

I had to go out to do some grocery shopping this afternoon and loading the car, it was so windy my scarf was blowing around everywhere and I had to practically force things into the trunk while standing in sludge.

The wind was blowing through the bare trees that sounded like someone screaming outside the house.

I did, however, put up the tree and other things today. The tree looks great, it has lights, garlands, ornaments, and I also put up other decorations around the house. As the song says, "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas".

By the way, my last blog post is Monday next week. Not tomorrow.

Day 69

Busy day.

I finished the Christmas shopping that I have to do today and got it all done. Then came home for a while, but first I went to get the new eggnog Milkshake from McDonald's, and then I went to visit my grandfather, and then I went out to dinner, and went out to the art gallery for a holiday open house.

There were a lot of great hand-made gifts and people who I often see at the events, and had a good time.

But today was really rainy and wet and gross. But during the open house, it started snowing again. Thank goodness. We could really use something not so icky and slippery. But I do hear it's supposed to be very icy out for the rest of the weekend. Like ice all over the place.

Also, just to let people know, Monday will be my last blogpost. I guess it was because I missed days is why I'm not at Day 80 yet. For my post tomorrow, I'm going to check again to see if it really will be day 70 or not.

I haven't decided to try to do a winter one yet. That would last from December 21st until March 21st. I still have to decide. This wasn't that easy, but I'll manage.

Day 67

I'm feeling a little better today.

I guess I didn't have a cold so much as I was just sniffly and sneezy from the weather. I didn't take any medicine, but I'll survive. I usually don't take medicine when I'm sick, and I survived.

Earlier this even, I went out to take my dog for a walk and there was snow everywhere. My town suffered major floods last July and it's like this. The streets, the sidewalks, the driveways, etc. And it's still coming down. It looks beautiful and magical and I am so glad we have snow finally.

When I'm out waiting for buses or at the art gallery, I get cold. I don't wear a warm enough jacket, but I do have one much bigger and more like a coat. And I have a scarf and gloves, and I'm still cold, but still proud top be in the snow. If I have to change a song on my iPod or get my phone out to check the time, I have to epose my bare hand to the cold air, though.

Day 66

OK, the first natural day of skipping a blog post which means skipping post "Day 65".

Sick day.

OK, it wasn't just me that was sick. On my way to the art gallery, I knew about a plan where I would be the "director for the day". But the executive director was getting a sore throat and her son had one, too. I was coming down with a cold so I disgustingly snotty, sneezy, I had red eyes, itchy, too. And the assistant was coming down witha headache. Several of us were sick or ache-y in ways.

I'm feeling a little better right now, but I was miserable today. You know, it's that time of year when people have colds back and forth. I didn't properly contaminate myself as was also possibly getting contaminated, too.

But it got better coming home to see ABC Night. And an extra rerun of Modern Family and Cougar Town.

Day 64

Still snow.

I worry that the snow is going to melt away too fast.

By the way, the family that I had over last week are coming again next week unaware of the snow. Boy, will they get a surprise by the natural magic of the snow.

I even watched Just Friends today. It's another Christmas movie I like and try to watch every year. Well, actually, a lot. But for sure around Christmas. It's a really funny romantic comedy, but would probably much farther than ten of my top ten movies. Somewhere around 20 or something.

Tomorrow, I'm going to go to the art gallery. It'll be my first time going to Oak Park while they're snow all over and wearing my new gloves. I'm leaving my boots home though. I have a really nice pair of boots, but I'd rather wear my pair of Sketchers tomorrow instead.

Sunday, December 5, 2010

Day 63

Christmas TV shows.

I've been watching Christmas TV episodes lately. One of Modern Family, two of Bewitched, and one of The Simpsons They make me anticipate Christmas and makes me think it's coming to slow.

The good news, I can't stop thinking about the snow whenever I'm outside. The way it looks at night is beautiful. When the houses have lights up and they they snow lights up, the Christmas trees in the windows, the iced over pond that looks like a painting with swirls of snow; it's all really magical.

I also got new gloves today. I couldn't find a nice black pair but I got a nice brown pair to match my jacket. I haven't really used them, but I put my jacket on to see what their like. Now, this week, I can go out to the art gallery with my gloves while I still listen to my iPod. Oh, and also get use out of my boots. I have a pair of Columbia brand boots from last winter. I've been wearing them to take the dog for a walk, but didn't really tie them up. So I know I'll wear them for a while this week.

Day 62

Yay. It snowed.

IO got up at 3 AM this morning and couldn't sleep. And looking out my window, I saw that it had snowed. All over the street and the grass and in bushes, and it looked beautiful with the street lamps and their glows.

I love snow. And it's about time it came. Now all we need is Christmas and those impostor mall Santas. Ooh, I can't wait for Christmas. I hope it stays snowy until my next birthday next June. It would be great.

Also watching an episode of Modern Family on DVD, one of them was a Christmas episode that inspired me to start a film. Or at least pitch one. In an episode, Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) invite a divorced, homeless, and grumpy mall Santa into their home for dinner. It made me want to start a film about a married couple who invite a troubled college student into their home for Christmas. It would make a good drama, and I have Christmas on my mind.

I'm also going to watch an all-new Saturday Night Live tonight with host Robert DeNiro.

Day 61

Two lists.
I know I owed this post two different lists. Actually, one list, which is a list of ten movies. The other is a list that continued today, also with ten titles in it.

The first list is Top Ten Favorite Movies. I know people who have a Top Ten of their favorite films, and I never made one. I knew I had the first three placed and other three that needed places, and then that meant another four. But it's not a top ten of a specific year or actor or something like that. It's just in general.

1. Chicago - I love the whole thing. The costumes, music, acting, Oscar wins, the songs; all of it. One of the major reasons I love it is because it won Best Picture at the Oscars, even though I didn't see the ceremony it won for.
2. 2012 - I am so glad I saw this. It's thrilling, adventurous, John Cusack's performance is great, and I love the Adam Lambert song at the end, "Tim for Miracles". It's really worth seeing.
3. A Lot Like Love - This is a good dramedy. Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet have chemistry and it has it's funny parts, sad parts, touching moments, and it's really good writing. A man and woman who don't seem good for each other at the start grow closer and closer through the span of 6 1/2 years.
4. Juno - my 2nd favorite Best Original Screenplay winning Oscar. Ellen Page is hilarious, it has a good cast, good writing, and touching moments. It's another good dramedy.
5. Little Miss Sunshine - my 1st favorite Best Original Screenplay winning Oscar. Also a good cast and funny and sad at the same time. And it has it's touching moments, and Alan Arkin's Oscar-winning performance is well-performed and well-deserved. He did a really good job.
6. Love Actually - Two of my favorite performances are Liam Neeson's and Emma Thompson's. Neeson plays a man who lost his wife and now seeing his 10-year-old son start to fall in love with another girl. And Thompson plays a woman who suspects her husband is having an affair with another and younger woman. I like all the performances, but those two are the best. It's a very funny movie with sad, touching moments, and it reminds me a lot of Christmas. I love Christmas.
7. Sleepless in Seattle - This is another "good writing" film. Meg Ryan was a romantic comedy queen when this came out and her performance, as well as Tom Hanks', are really good. I love the writing of two people who are perfect for each other but on entire different sides of the country and just want to meet each other.
8. The Devil Wears Prada - You have to admit, I can't make a top ten list without a Meryl Streep movie. My dad does not like her and he says that Kramer vs. Kramer, was not only his first Streep film in general, but also the first Streep film where he decided he doesn't like Meryl Streep. But this one is all about fashion and New York City, and networking with big-name designers. I can also see why Streep got an Oscar nomination.
9. Julie & Julia - My first blog (not blog post, but blog in general) is all about Julie Powell. I loved her book and based my blog on it and then got to see this. And of course, Meryl Streep is hilarious in it, and Amy Adams did a good job playing a struggling writer and blogger who had a plan, but with a quriky and kind of unreliable, but still respectful husband.
10. Easy A - Now it just came out, and I've seen these movies more than once, but I thought that this was the perfect teen comedy since Mean Girls. It's hilarious, newcommer Emma Stone was great, and I hope it even gets an Oscar nomintion for one of the Screenplay categories. It is a loose reference to "The Scarlet Letter", but also partly original in some ways. But I loved this and bragged about it after I saw it. I even saw it when passing by a movie theater and thought "What the hell. It starts in fifteen minutes, I don't have to meet Ken until five" and loved it.

Some trivial facts:
While Oscar winner Diablo Cody who wrote Juno says that she based it partly off of her friend's pregnancy, Julie & Julia is the only biographical movie on this list.
Chicago is the only film on this list that it's my next one.
Sleepless in Seattle is the only 1990's released film on this list. The next released one was Chicago in 2002.

My next list is Oscar-winning Best Picture films I've seen. But without a "Top..." added to it as I'm not listing one movie over another. They may be listed in alphabetical order, but I'm listing them from the top of my head as I alphabetize them. And even with the 82 movies that have been award Best Picture, I've only seen ten. Also, I haven't seen any of these before they won the Academy Award. It was all after they won.

Amadeus
American Beauty (as of last weekend)
Chicago (of course)
Forrest Gump (as of today)
Million Dollar Baby
My Fair Lady (about a month and a half ago)
Rain Man
Shakespeare in Love (another favorite)
The Sound of Music (sometime this summer, though I knew all the songs and lyrics, just not the movie)
West Side Story (another favorite)

But I do have a list of movies "to see". I'll post that list some other time because now I have to update it.

Thursday, December 2, 2010

Day 60

Fun day.

Today I made a plan with a friend to see Love and Other Drugs. It was realy good. It was funny, it was sad, it was romantic. Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway were great. I think the movie is Oscar-contending.

Thenn, about a half-hour later, I decided to get another ticket at the same theatre to see Burlesque, but that one was bymyself. That was fun, jazzy, worth the ticket, and really glad I saw it.

I loved both movies, but neither of them would top Chicago as my #1 favorite. But Burlesque was more similar to it. This was the first time I saw two movies in one day.

Although, on weekend, I saw Monster's Inc. twice. One on Saturday and then again on Sunday. And when I was working in a movie theatre, a friend of mine came twice. Once in the morning, then in the evening and saw Little Miss Sunshine both times. She saw it twice that day, but it was her fourth and fifth timer in general.

And I love that moive, too.

By the way, I meant to post my top ten list, but I'm not using the same computer that it's saved on. But I will later this week sometime.

Day 58/59

OK, I meant to blog last night. But I didn't forget.

My internet was down all night and I checked this morning and it was up.

Yesterday was a weird day. Exciting things and strange things.

I had my first onion rings yesterday. They were from Burger King. I've had Funyons before, but they're not the same because they're not baked. And they were really good. They even have onion in them which is even better.

But also, yesterday, I kept falling down or tripping and stumbling. I did when I got off a bus, I stumbled on the sidewalk, walking into a Caribou Coffee, and I fell down twice walking into the art gallery.

On the bus last night I saw it had started snowing. Finally. And this morning, I see it already on the ground and rooftops and I look out the window to see it blowing.

And I also found out out last night that my family was leaving and this morning at 6 or so. And that they were also coming back in two weeks. They live in Singapore, but they own a former house in Orlando so they often go back when they're in the United States.

Last night did get kind of rough. I purposely missed Glee so I can be with my guests knowing I can watch the episode on the internet or something. But that's not why it got rough. When I got home I saw my brother and sister-in-law came over and then he started grilling me about my own writing and skeptical about the fact that my first adapted film based off a short story that I wrote didn't have a beginning, middle, and end when I know it did and he said it was a dumb story without having heard what it's about.

Actually, I told him what it's about and he said it was a dumb story. This was a short story I came across recently from when I wrote when I was fifteen. And six months ago I decided to turn it into a short film. But I've been writing screenplays since after high school. With no fiction experience, my brother thinks I could write better. But I'm not going to listen to him. He's the type of guy that he's nice when you get to know him, but then he starts talking.

One more thing, the "58/59" in my title refers to 58 being yesterday and 59 being today. I've missed chances to blog on days so the number of days go up once after two days. For example, say a Wednesday is a day 36. And let's say I forget to blog on Thursday. But Friday I remember to blog and I would say it's Day 37 when it should really be 38. I'm guessing that had I written on every single day or still missed day but skipped a number, I'd probably be at 67 or something. I didn't count, but that's just what I'm guessing.

Tell you what. Today I'll count the days in a calendar starting from September 21st until December 1st (today) and tomorrow I'll say the correct day number when I blog tomorrow. So there won't be any 60-65's or so.

Come to think of it, the reason I start with a number that goes up once is because when I go to my dashboard and see a list of my blogs, I see the number of posts in this one and just say "Day (next number up)". Though there aren't as many days as their is posts. Originally, there was meant to be the same number of days as there would be posts. But I often forgot or at least wasn't able to. Meaning, I remembered, but my internet could have went down or I couldn't have gotten to a computer when I needed to.

So, for tomorrow, the new post will say Day 60-something.

Monday, November 29, 2010

Day 57

Slow day.

This morning, some of my extended family came over. There here for some time this week. We chatted, caught up, and my little cousin is terrified of my loveable dog, Duffy.

We played this game that goes in rounds and people take turns, and my little nephew kept taking the same turn. It's a hard game to explain, but you're the "judge" of a certain vocabulary word and you have to pick which you think is the best. And he kept taking the same turn over and over again. So he changed the rules.

However, I'm all about winning. I play games by the correct rules and I play to win. It's an important thing in life because it sucks to lose. I mean, who wants to play a game just for the fun of it? Like, really?

But the day ended with that game as the family settled into the guest rooms. So it was OK. A little boring in the afternoon, but I worked on some of my writing.

Sunday, November 28, 2010

Day 56

Long day.

I decided to get up this morning at ten minutes to seven. That's probably why it felt so long. Prepared for the family visit for tomorrow and I think until Wednesday and also watched The Family Stone because I still have Christmas on my mind. It's a good movie. Funny, sad, touching, etc.

Roughly five weeks. If were in the last week of November, then five weeks until Christmas. Or maybe four because Christmas is a week before New Years. Anyway, whether it's five or four weeks until Christmas, then it's five or four weeks until my last blog post. Maybe I'll do "Roughly 90 Days of Winter" or something. I'm not sure.

Then again I do have time to think about it.

Saturday, November 27, 2010

Day 55

Busy weekend.

Last night, I had some company over for dinner and they love ribs. I don't. So I had a chicken dish.

But today was preparing for a visit from family flying to Chicago from Singapore. Just when the guest room is ready and the furniture is all set and the TV is working, they're going to be the test run. So I'll see how it goes. I'm just going to get ready tomorrow.

Today, however, I saw what is my ninth Best Picture Oscar winner. I watched American Beauty. It was sad, it was funny, it was really good. Remarkable, I'd say. I also watched my DVD of Love Actually. A favorite Christmas movie of mine.

Tomorrow, I'll post the eight other Best Picture winning movies I've seen. To begin with, my number 1 favorite is Chicago and American Beauty doesn't top it. I really can't think of another movie I like more than Chicago.

Day 54

Cold day.

It was freezing. It was so frigid that your nose stings when you first walk outside.

Today was alright. Apparently, today is Thanksgiving. Fortunately, I didn't eat any turkey or cranberries. I did have some mashed potatoes and other vegetable dishes. Basically green beans and a salad.

Tomorrow will be OK. Black Friday! I'm definitely not getting up at 2 AM, but I'm going to a shopping center because I have some coupons for Aeropostale. I hope to get there by at least noon when it's long past the doorbuster sales. I would hate to take advantages of those.

Have a good Black Friday.

Day 53

Cold, rainy day.

If you live in Chicago, then today was freezing rainy. I predicted rain all day and it worked.

And more Thanksgiving wishes. The only person I knew who didn't like Thanksgiving other than me was someone in college. If any of you saw from a few days ago, I ended a post with a cliffhanger. I was going to say the worst part of Thanksgiving.

There's the turkey, early dinner, too filling food (for everyone else at least), and the turkey is really not that great. There's beautiful and intelligent animals that don't deserve to be eaten. But I do get sick of the wishes to have a good Thanksgiving. I wished that myself for people, because I want them to have a good one. But when it comes to me. I don't want to have a happy Thanksgiving and watch everyone fill their stomachs with turkey and not have any room for pumpkin pie. I can't stand it. Then again, I don't eat much Thanksgiving food myself.

So please, I wish you a good Thanksgiving, but I don't want you to wish one for me.

Monday, November 22, 2010

Day 52

Rainy day.

But I also got watch some CBS. I was more into Dancing With the Stars, but tonight was the last night.

And I've been excited for tomorrow, too. Hair cut.

I am so miserable with my hair now. It's getting in my eyes and getting too long for me. And I love the fact that my haircutter bares a remarkable resemblance to Susan Sarandon. I've been seeing her for a few years now. Not Sarandon, but Adrienne.

And as usual, some Thanksgiving dreading.

Day 51

I probably said it already, but I really don't like Thanksgiving. I can give a few reasons but to sum it up is things like turkey, eating "dinner" at 3 in the afternoon, and me being the only one not full before dessert.

Also yesterday, as I forgot to post - darn it - I saw a version of the original version of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. I was usually familiar with She's the Man starring Amanda Bynes. And I liked it.

But today became dreadful and regretful. I had what turned out to be a dinner party and someone brought old videotapes of the family when I was six-years-old. I laughed at some parts but anything that had me I was like "I can't believe I did that". Because it doesn't actually look like something I would have done or something. And secrets were revealed, memories came back, two family members were talking about how they think they know my life, and iced cream served with bananas and blueberries.

And they were Christmas videos and birthday videos. One was a party surrounded around me with kids I didn't even know back then. I hope I never see them again. I am much more mature now, I have glasses, darker hair, facial hair, a deeper voice, and a better sense of style. It's so weird to think that that was me as a child.

Friday, November 19, 2010

Day 50

Another Thanksgiving story.

In 2007, it was my first time having an iced cream float. And boy, did I wish I didn't.

I was friends with this girl in college. She was drinking an iced cream float with root beer. And was surprised by the fact that I hadn't had one before. She said you can make it with any kind of iced cream and any kind of soda. Root beer is more common with Vanilla iced cream. But I hate root beer.

I decided to make one with Cherry Coke and Mint Chocolate chip iced cream. Horrible combination. Just horrible. I hated it.

And that was meant to be Thanksgiving because the cafeteria designed a classy Thanksgiving dinner with cloth tablecloths, candles, and dimmed lighting. It was my dream wedding reception.

Oh, and one more thing. I forgot to mention the worst part of Thanksgiving...

Thursday, November 18, 2010

Day 49

I hate German food.

I went out to try this German restaurant near my house. And it took me a while to find something on the menu. It was a lot of pork products and [what in the world is] Goulash, and I didn't want to try any of it.

The most American thing I found was some broiled chicken. And it didn't taste like a regular chicken. OK, actually it did. But it was broiled. I usually have it fried or grilled. Fried chicken is the best.

It ended well with a dessert and I had some vanilla pudding. As usual, I scraped off the whipped cream and the pudding was very buttery.

I also watched my NBC night and will probably have my leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Day 48

Today was freezing.

Even with my corduroy jacket, I was still cold. I also made the mistake of drinking a cold lemonade for lunch.

By the way, I forgot to mention yesterday. At the art gallery, we might get a new teacher thanks to me. I ordered my lunch and it was a really filling burger by the way. Right when the delivery guy was leaving, he came back to ask about our classes and see if he has a chance to teach. He's a sculptor and illustrator. I feel that if I hadn't ordered lunch, or if it was another delivery guy, we wouldn't be getting someone interested in the gallery. I feel it was thanks to me.

He's going to come for a meeting and show his work to our director who's excited, too. I feel proud of myself for ordering lunch.

Day 47

My first Thanksgiving story.

It was 2009. I made eggnog for the first time. I had eggnog a few times before. And for this recipe, I didn't even use any milk. I may sound gross, but it was very good. I even divided the recipe in half. It called for 12 eggs, but I used 6. Six eggs was still rich and creamy. As well as Vanilla Bean and some whipping cream. It's not like I'm lactose intolerant, which I'm not, but I preferred to use the recipe that had eggs instead. And whipping cream.

It was very creamy and I used some vanilla bean on top as a garnish. That part was really sticky, because you kind of have to peel it open with your fingers. It's also a glossy coating, too.

The recipe also called for Bourbon, but not being an alcoholic drinker, I cut the bourbon and kept it with eggs and whipping cream. And some sugar.

Day 46

I'm getting really bad at this.

I try to remember to blog usually at night, but then when it's gets to 12:00 I forget that I was supposed to blog. And I was supposed to blog every single day until December 21st.

But then I remind myself that it is called "Roughly 90 Day of Fall." which means roughly 90 posts. I expect to end with a number of posts between 85 and 95.

I wouldn't say I procrastinate, but I would often forget. And I'm usually at the computer at night anyways. Maybe that's why. Because I get into other things.

OK, so as it's really Monday, November 15th, I'm going to count this post as Sunday, November 14th, and post again this Monday night.

Day 45

I went shopping today.

I needed new pajamas and got some. I also did some browsing at Marshalls, Home Goods, and JC Pennny (where I got the pajamas).

I have a really comfy blue plaid pajamas bottoms that never came as a set. And I would fear wearing a T-shirt to bed. So I found a top and bottom set, but I hated the neckline. And then found another one and these are more festive for the holiday. They have dark red and dark green.

I also found some whimsical pajama bottoms. One with martini glasses and one with polar bears. I also have an older red pair with pizza slices all over it.

I love shopping. I even stopped at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and got my first Christmas gift. An oil infuser for my aunt. She always accepts those.

Day 44

I forgot to post yesterday and Wednesday.

I didn't get to watch my ABC shows on Wednesday because the CMA Award were that night. I didn't watch that either. Even though I was planning on it.

But yesterday was strange. I went to the art gallery for a meeting. I spent part of the morning laughing at past incidents and I mean laughing really hard enough. Then, for some reason, halfway to the art gallery I was so moody. Even though the meeting, people were asking me what's wrong, and I claimed to be fine. I didn't feel like laughing, listening to my iPod, and I barely laughed through NBC night.

I was fine today. But I didn't even laugh at all yesterday afternoon. I couldn't even smile. I tried thinking of something I've been laughing about for a while and I couldn't even smile. Literally.

I was OK today and felt a little more finer.

Wednesday, November 10, 2010

Day 43

I'm ready for Christmas now.

At the art gallery today, we started with the Christmas decorations. We're going to be having a gift sale full of handmade pieces likes pictures, paintings, even clothes and accessories. I made angels out of yarn.

Technically, I'm always ready for Christmas. But now, I want to wear my corduroy jacket, have shopping bags of Christmas gifts, have a Christmas latte. But I have to wait to have Thanksgiving. I'm too excited for Christmas.

Last Thanksgiving was my first time making eggnog, although I've had it a few times before, and I didn't even use any milk. Eggnog is another thing that makes me anticipate Christmas.

I even tried an Apple Blast today. It's a cider drink with caramel, I ordered it with sugar-free caramel because I don't like it, and I ordered it without the whipped cream. I hate whipped cream. It did come with cinnamon though. I loved it and would order another one.

Oy. I'm in a hurry for Christmas.

Day 42

Just an OK day.

I found some puzzle books in my closet that I forgot I had. I've been doing a lot of puzzles lately, just to keep up on the logical skills I have.

I get so mad that I can never finish one without looking at the answers. The ones from People are easier, because they generally focus on one person, like a singer or actor, and even I can't finish one of those.

But it doesn't hurt to practice. I actually, made the crossword puzzle comment in my Facebook status a minute ago.

Sunday, November 7, 2010

Day 41

Fun day.

I got to see family that I haven't seen for nearly ten years. My Aunt Susie, yes. But her daughter, Rihanna, I saw three years ago. But I also got to see my great uncle and great aunt and we just caught up on the past. Me and Rihanna spent a while alking about board games and other board game instances and events.

Then we all had some soup and chili, sandwiches, and cookies, brownies, and something else for dessert.

It was also confusing about the time difference today. It's 9:55 PM right now, but it's naturally 10:55. It's confusing, I know. It was really dark at 5:00 as the sun went down at 4 in the afternooon.

A fun night kind of ended with the Halloween episode of The Simpsons. It was really funny. One of those Treehouse of Horror ones with guest stars like Hugh Laurie and Daniel Radcliffe. And even a board game sketch which reminded me of the board game discussion I had with my cousin.

Saturday, November 6, 2010

Day 40

Busy day of cleaning.

I'm having some company over tomorrow so I spent a lot of time cleaning. I actually kneeled down on the tiled kitchen floor to clean the grout.

Then is was a break and I used the computer a bit, and then watched The Holiday on DVD, and then worked in the basement as I have a bed coming on Monday.

Don't worry, it's not mine. I'm redoing the guest bedroom. The whole basement is tiled.

I'll let everyone know how the company was. It's going to be my Aunt Susie, her daughter, Rihanna, and possibly my great uncle and great aunt, Don and Marylin.

Friday, November 5, 2010

Day 39

I meant to do my laundry today.

And it'll have to wait until Sunday or Monday because I have company coming over tomorrow or Sunday and I don't want to have my dirty laundry sitting out ready to be washed if they're over. Actually, I meant to do it on Thursday. And my hamper is overflowing as we speak. I still have enough clean clothes, though.

I also screwed up dinner by adding dry herbs in a jar of sauce that already had herbs in it. My food tasted OK, but I wish I hadn't added Oregano or Herbs de Provence in a jar of Tomato and Basil sauce.

I even forgot to steam the green beans so I had to cook them right when dinner was ready or maybe just boil them. I decided to boil them at the last minute so that they'll cook faster.

Today was just a day of screwing up apparently.

Thursday, November 4, 2010

Day 38

I forgot to post yesterday.

A weird thing happened, too. I was with a friend and I was trying to tell them a funny story and kept laughing through the middle of it. I think my friend was left hanging with "Did he drop it on the table? On the counter?". And I was trying to explain about a time several years ago when my dad...Great, I'm laughing right now...dropped a pot of soup on the garage floor. Man. I can't stop laughing now. I even ended it with "My dad dropped a pot of soup on the...". That's where it ended until I was laughing. And my friend was laughing at me. I finally managed to get the story out and he started laughing as much as I did about the soup.

To be honest, I haven't laughed that much in a long time. As opposed to giggling or laughing for only a few minutes, but laughing so hard that I have to bury my face in my arms and pound my fist on the table.

I have plenty more stories that I should share throughout the blog. I may not be the best at jokes, but I can always laugh through the middle of a story.

Day 37

Today was an OK day

I got to my internship and announced that I'm thinking of quitting. Although, I found more pros for staying than I did cons. I guess staying wouldn't be too bad. I have been there for a little over two years, I have an infinite internship, and I got a title a month ago. Lead Intern. I'm the only one who took the initiative to network at a really big art festival last summer. But I do think about an alternate reality where I would quit. I still have think more about it.

I also got my voting out of the way. If any of my potential readers live in Cook County, you'd know what I'm talking about. And I'm happy with my decisions.

Then treated myself to a Wendy's frosty for dessert. I love dipping my fries in them. Ketchup is OK, but I like dipping fries in my Wendy's frostys. Come to think of it, I could have dipped my fries in ketchup for lunch.

Which reminds me, as I was leaving my internship, I had two drinks. Normally I usually do have a drink with me and two is not a big deal, but it was different. This morning, I got myself a Vitaimin Water, a Diet Coke with Lime, and some Reese's Peanut Buttercups from the AM/PM near my bus stop. Drank the Diet Coke with Lime on the bus and saved my Vitamin Water for later. Then when I got to the art gallery, I put them Vitamin Water in the fridge. Then had one of a six packs of Dit Coke for lunch and left the rest in the fridge. A friend got me a Diet 7 Up and I drank that on the way home while a Vitamin Water was getting warm in my backpack. So I drank that while watching a rerun of Glee. Though, it's not a really big deal, I still find it as comical.

"Comical" meaning a little funny. I'd say the level of comedy goes Comical = something you get a quick little chuckle out of, Funny = something you'd laugh about for three minutes, and Hilarious = something that cracks you up you laugh so hard you don't even make a sound.

In a week, I'll start with Thanksgiving stories.

Day 36

Kind of an OK day.

Worked on my writing this morning, cereal for lunch (Raisin Bran, even though I'm not into it that much), then more writing, and then Raisin Bran for dinner, and then watched Dancing With the Stars.

The thing with Raisin Bran, I think it's OK. But every time I eat it, it tends to get soggy quickly. I hate when food and other things are soggy. So I usually eat it really quickly.

Although, what I do like to do is to make some toast with white bread (I prefer white), melt some butter, and pour the butter on the toast. It softens the toast, but not exactly soggy. It's very buttery and creamy. I love toast that way.

But Raisin Bran gets soggy very quickly if I eat it too slowly. It's quite crunchy when it's made fresh with milk poured on top.

Day 35

Happy Halloween!

OK, I know I had something special for my post tonight, but originally what I was going for was a font that looked creepy and gothic and kind of spooky. Like the writing you'd see on a Haunted House. But I couldn't find a good font because they all looked too ordinary. So forget that special thing about the Halloween post.

Today, however, was fun. I went trick-or-treating with my brother, sister-in-law, niece, and his friend and had a pretty good time. Afterward I stayed at his place for pizza and had a hard lime drink. Mike's Hard Lime, to be exact. Then when I got home I watched The Time Traveler's Wife on my Netflix. I'm not one to watch a horror movie marathon on Halloween. I've seen a few horror movies.

And tomorrow, I'm going to miss Halloween. I love holidays because you do the things you normally don't get to do everyday. Halloween is the one day when an adult can dress up like whatever they want (unless they're an actor for a living), Thanksgiving is the day to fill up on dinner (in the evening, of course) and not eat anything for another week, Christmas is all about gifts, shopping, movies, singing, and let's not forget our friends, New Years is when you want to party all night and do something awesome as the new year starts (The minute 2010 started, I was on the IMDb trivia page for John Travolta), Valentines Day is the time to go out on a date with your loved one or stay home and eat chocolate while watching a chicky flick (for the single ones), and Fourth of July is the best. It's America's birthday.

As Thanksgiving nears, I'll tell stories of past Thanksgivings. Maybe a week before I'll begin with stories.

Happy Halloween to my potential readers. Sorry I thought I had something special planned, but I couldn't find the font I was looking for.

Saturday, October 30, 2010

Day 34

Today was a fun day.

It's my sister-in-law's birthday. We went out for dinner at stir-fry restaurant and then to another one for dessert.

I gave her some earrings, scented soaps, and barrettes. She's really into accessories. And since she's a baker, she got a Latin cookbook and some baking equipment. Even Halloween cookie cutters. My niece got a little visibly sick at dessert if you know what I mean.

And I'm going to go trick-or-treating with her and my brother tomorrow, too. I also have a special blog post for tomorrow. Or today at least as it's 12:05 AM, but I finished watching Saturday Night Live with host Jon Hamm.

It really is a fun weekend and I love Halloween. On Monday, I'm going to be sad it's over. But I will have more Halloweens in the future.

I also have a special blog post for tomorrow.

Friday, October 29, 2010

Day 33

I forgot to post the last two nights. That's a first. It turns out the past two nights were fun.

Wednesday, I interned, then came home to watch a Halloween night on ABC. Same with last night for NBC.

Thursday, I even bought some earrings for my sister-in-law's birthday this Saturday. They looks like red discs with letters that dangle in front of them. "G" and "B". Her initials. One is a "G" and the other is a "B". Clever. I also got her some soap from a while ago and some barrettes.

Today I treated myself to lunch at Baker Square and some pie. Of course, the pie. Lemon Supreme. One can't go to Baker Square and not get any pie. Like Denny's. Then watched a movie version of the musical Gypsy with Bette Midler as the main role of Rose.

I haven't seen that video for a while and it still doesn't top Chicago being my favorite movie. As I always say "It still doesn't top Chicago, and I don't think anything will." That's usually for movies I'm seeing for the first time. The video of Gypsy, I've seen a few times before.

Currently listening: "Bailamos" -Enrique Iglesias (I got so into it today that as UI was listening to 93.9 THE LITE, I just had to know the song. So I got it on my iTunes and had it in my head all day. Why haven't I heard it in the last 10 years?)

Tuesday, October 26, 2010

Day 32

Today was kind of a rough one.

This morning was fine. I didn't have to go to my internship because I heard that there were weather watches and it was very windy today. Like really windy. So I decided to watch some Bewitched on DVD. I love that show. While putting my dog in his cage, I got bitten in the wrist and started shedding blood and using swear words. And I was so pissed off, that I couldn't even laugh with the show.

I don't know if some of you have that feeling when you're mad and you're watching something funny and you don't have the will to laugh.

But I got over it. Then when dinner came, I made a kind of vinegar that I started making lately. A recipe calls for either Red Wine Vinegar or Balsamic. I prefer red wine. And it also calls for soy sauce. But I don't like soy products, so I use Worchestershire sauce. It still works. And some Dijon Mustard, Pepper, and some a few others things I can't remember. And then I add some olive oil later after the others are mixed. But this time I forgot the olive oil. I usually put that sauce thing on green beans and they were too Dijon Mustard-y. Olive oil sweetens it fairly or makes it tangy.

And then making room in the basement as I have workers working down there. Which is why my dog bit me is because they were passing through the house.

It all got better with the Rocky Horror Glee Show and the new Raising Hope show, which is kind of good.

Monday, October 25, 2010

Day 31

Slow day.

OK, today started out fine. I straightened up a bit.

But later in the morning, I went to my computer and updated a lot of things I thought I lost this past month. After that crash back in early September. Which means, I can get back to my photography blog. I couldn't update it because the photos were saved on my computer.

Then some leftover tacos for lunch, then more computer stuff.

Tonight, on my Netflix, I got some Saturday Night Live sketches of Halloween-themed sketches. I got it in the mail today. And it was the old SNL stuff, like from the days when Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider were on. Like late '80s to early '90s. There were even some sketches that I didn't know were frequent characters, too. And it was really funny. I saw hosts like John Travolta, Neve Campbell, and some others.

Day 30

Got my computer up and working again. The documents left on my computer that were not backed up are saved and I can get access to them.

Other than that, today was a pretty good day. Worked on AntiVirus pr4otection stuff, worked on the writing I got recovered, and had an informal football party. I don't like football, but I did hear a lot of yelling coming from the room with the TV.

I guess the Bears lost. And Chicago had many winning streaks in the past. Oh, well. We'll bounce back soon.

Saturday, October 23, 2010

Day 29

Busy day.

I did some cleaning today and worked in the kitchen.

But this afternoon was long. I had a computer that was just sitting on my desk in my bedroom and not working. So I got to finally fixing it today by backing files up and putting it back together.

It may not seem like it took long, but for a while today, I was thinking "God, how much longer will this take". It was sooooo boring.

But as of tonight, it's back up and working and tomorrow, I'll work on getting my internet and starting a virus protection.

Friday, October 22, 2010

Day 28

I forgot to blog last night. I know I'm trying to keep up with it and waiting until the evening to make my posts. But then there was a meaning for that "Roughly" in the blog title. I plan to end with something around 86-94 posts.

Yesterday, I saw Erin Brockovich for the first time. I really liked it. Julia Roberts was worth the Oscar win and Albert Finney and Aaron Eckhart wre good, too. That was actually my third Aaron Eckhart movie. About a month ago, I saw a film he was in, which was a limited release film called Meet Bill and watched Love Happens a week later. That was a really sad one. But Erin Brockovich was really good and I'm glad I got a chance to see it.

Afterward, I went out to dinner and then came home to watch some NBC.

Today I plan to work on that Halloween film I'm trying to write. I may even have to keep writing it after Halloween still with the same dates.

Day 27

Today was not busy.

Watched a video someone sent me of something I saw on Youtube and another Facebook friend posted. And it didn't didn't even scare someone I made watch it.

Getting home was a little busier because of a a bank thing, but that's getting worked out.

Then watched some new ABC shows and now this. I think I might be regretting Spontaneity Day from Friday, for other reasons I won't explain.

Day 26

What was today.

Just the regular thing. Went to the art league and watched a rerun of an episode of Glee from last season. Even though it was a rerun, it was still new to me. I didn't get to watch any of the first season because of timing. Now I can.

There was also a meeting I never knew about today so it was a good thing I was already at the art gallery.

Let's see, what else? Planning to watch some Ugly Betty on DVD tonight.

Monday, October 18, 2010

Day 25

Today was kind of boring.

I did some cleaning and straightening up. But when it came to five o'clock, I was so bored. I probably shouldn't have been, but I was.

I did spend part of the evening watching Youtube videos and something from The Simpsons, that I ended up laying on the floor laughing. Long story.

I did get interested in a song which is my "currently listening".

I had some adventures and will go somewhere tomorrow. I really want to make this blog interesting. Maybe on Halloween.

Day 24

I am not a big fan of Sundays.

Today was so boring. Around noon, I decided to watch some TV. I'm watching cooking shows and travels shows, and I keep watching until around 8 tonight. I can't stand Sundays.

Sure, they're supposed to make people dread the Monday mornings, but I'd rather just pass up Sunday and dread the work week.

But I did get some good recipes and saw what Belgium is like, so I guess it wasn't too bad.

Saturday, October 16, 2010

Day 23

Saw two movies today.

Earlier this afternoon, I went to see Secretariat. I liked it. The film was very inspirational and Diane Lane's character showed a lot of determination. I loved the action and the horse racing. Some of the scenes made me so nervous as to what's going to happen.

Then earlier tonight, I watched a movie on my Netflix that must have been a straight-to-DVD release in 2006 called The Good Student. Tim Daly played a nerdy and not-so-bright high school teacher who has a crush on the popular girl and daughter of a car dealership owner. When she gets kidnapped, he begins a suspect, but then other characters are obvious suspects that you already know they did it. It ended in the similar way that Psycho did. We found out that Norman bates was the killer just because of the smirk he showed to let us know that he killed Vivian Leigh. Tim Daly revealed it by showing a strand of hair that was cut earlier.

It was an OK film, but Secretariat was very good. I'm glad I saw it.

Day 22

Spontaneity Day

Remember when I kept saying that my posts didn't have any adventure? Found some.

Today was interesting.

It started with going to the bank to withdrawal some cash because I knew that I wanted to have a Spontaneity day today. Then as I had some time to wait for a bus, I got some mozzarella sticks from Giordano's, which I ate later. And my later, I after I got fries from Burger King waiting for another bus. Those I finished ten minutes ago. Then I got to my location, ate my mozzarella sticks, but saved my fries. Then I meat someone else for lunch who ended up paying. Even though it was really nice of them, it felt like a JC Penny sale. Buy two get the third one free. The first two were like lunches. They were just appetizers.

But before lunch, I finally got myself a newsboy cap. I get so mad that I can't pull them off and got the perfect one. Then it was lunch.

Then I decided to get a DVD of Couples Retreat. I like Vince Vaughn. But I got it meant for Kristen Bell is in it. Then some other store browsing until I got a really nice shirt from Gap, one that would look good with my newsboy cap.

I used to be pissed off at the fact that I can't pull one off well. And I finally got one based on the suggestions from a salesclerk. It goes good with the denim jacket I wear these days, but I'm also curious about how it looks with my favorite corduroy jacket. Although I found some at Gap that matched my jacket, but they were the wrong size.

I'm the type of person that follows a "What's hot and what's not" type of thing.

But today was filled with spontaneity and shopping.

Day 21

Today was alright.

I went to a meeting at the art gallery to plan a really big show next year.

NBC was really good. I liked the live version of 30 Rock. It was just like watching Saturday Night Live. And the others were good, too.

I also watched some of my new Ugly Betty DVD.

So not much today. No busy weekends or anything. Hopefully later in the season, there will be something really cool to put in my nightly blog post.

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Day 20

Fun day.

Today was filled with interning and lunch. But I went to a screening of a movie tonight.

The father of an old friend from high school wrote and directed a movie in four different stories about people moving on.

The first was a man who was preparing to start another job at another company and spending his last night out with coworkers. Then the second story was a bride and a minister in a motel room, but the twist was that they were role playing. TThe third was this man who sat next to a woman on the bus and gave her an assortment of flowers and she reluctantly accepted, but also dealt with her husband bringing up strange topics. Then the last one, my favorite, was about a family that was preparing to move to a new home. The wife was having anxiety and the teenage daughter wanted to be with the boy and didn't want to leave him which ended up with her getting in an accident.

It was well-written and well-performed and I'm glad I saw it. It was written by a local man, so it wasn't as big as Hollywood produced. If I have any favorite movie in general, well, then I have a few that I love. But my number one favorite ever is Chicago, the movie version with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Renee Zellweger. I can go on an on about how much and why I love it, but I'll do that in another posts.

This movie, Something Better Somewhere Else, was also very good. And this movie, or any movie I see for the first time, I always say, "It doesn't top Chicago. And I don't think anything will.

Tomorrow will be a busy afternoon, however.

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

Day 19

Today was more lucky.

This morning, I decided to get the second season of Ugly Betty on DVD. The sticker price said 60 bucks. And when I was getting it, I apparently had a coupon for 5 dollars off. I didn't think so. And I ended up paying 25 bucks for it. I managed to save 35 dollars somehow. And the lady who rang me up, her tag said assistant manager.

Funny how the assistant manager didn't even know the DVD was basically 30 bucks off.

And this will be my first time seeing the second season of Ugly Betty. I first saw it when I watched the 3rd season on TV and watched the 1st season in between. And the forth season last year when it was on when the show ended. I finally get to see the second season and got the DVD for 35 bucks off magically.

Monday, October 11, 2010

Day 18

I didn't expect today would be busy.

It was an OK morning. I cleaned the house because we had a small party tonight. My niece is turning three-years-old tomorrow, so we had the party here.

It was OK. The cake looked great that I didn't even want to eat it. My sister-in-law is a baker and made this great Sponge Bob themed cake. It had little characters and the pineapple house and the whole cake was blue with a layer of strawberries inside. It tasted good, too. But my sister-in-law, Gina, frosted and decorated the cake herself.

And because of a popped circuit breaker, I can't turn on the living room fan so I was just dripped in the heat as my glasses kept sliding down my face. Even right now. Luckily I have a fan in my bedroom and could open the window.

It was nice and chilly for about a week, and then got really hot again.

Sunday, October 10, 2010

Day 17

Today was not busy at all.

A little after 12, I went back to the art gallery to attend a show about Breast Cancer Awareness. I made two watercolor paintings and one of them made the postcard that we use to promote the show. And as that's never happened to me before, I thought my pieces was one of the postcard pictures. And it turns out, one of my paintings was on the postcard. To make things worse. it turned out that my piece was the only one on the postcard. I saw those things before that had five or six different pictures on it. And to make matters even more worse, is that the abstract painting I had on the postcard was sideways.

It even had my name and everything. "Painting done by Cary Pohlhammer".

Something like this happened last Spring. I had two photographs for a sculpture and photography show. One was a sunny picture and the other was a gray, cloudy one. People voted on their favorite pieces each. And my picture had the most votes. Not the rainy, cloudy picture unfortunately. But the sunny picture won. I didn't even like that picture to begin with.

Besides, winning is a very good thing and an important part of this world. But for a picture I didn't like? It didn't feel fair. And I couldn't fix it to make the piece I liked be the winner.

I'm not all for attention, but if I had to win based of off two of my pictures, I want the one I like to win. And if a picture of mine is on the postcard, I want it to be at least right-side up.

Day 16

Today had some adventure, finally.

It started with a visit from my godmother over for breakfast where I made sausage links, she made omelets, and I made cupcakes for "dessert". And that was OK.

But then I had an interesting day. I spent nearly the whole afternoon walking all over Oak Park. Various artists were showing their studios and demonstrations of what they do. And it was interesting to see it.

But the funny thing was is that it felt like a road trip movie where people take multiple transportations to get across the country. Throughout the day, it was walking, buses, and cars. I walked through an art district of Oak Park and worked my way through the village on a bus, on my legs, and in a car. I know, very weird, but I had a good time.

It ended with a funny iced cream social at the art gallery where there was iced cream and a raffle. I bid on things, but wasn't there to see the winner as I left early. But I'm sure I got some things. I also bought some gifts for my sister-in-law as her birthday is on the 30th. She's a real jewelry enthusiast. That's why it's hard to buy for her sometimes. She always wears earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, but I also want her to match as well. I got her a barrette at a store where a lady did textiles (one of the artist people) and looked for some glass jewelry (at a glass artist's studio), but couldn't find anything there.

Day 15

I forgot to post again last night. But this time I didn't forget. For most of the night, my internet wasn't working and I wasn't able to get to my blog. The other two times, I forgot. Today I woke up with that "I forgot top post again last night" thing and when I went to my computer this morning, the internet was still not up.

And finally, I had some adventure yesterday morning. I went to get a pair of slippers from DSW. And got them for under 30 bucks :). And they were so comfy I wore them a couple times yesterday.

But the thing was when I got there, I took a bus. On a really wide street near the shopping center, there's a miles worth of construction. Getting back was not memorable because I could not find a bus stop anywhere. I decided to get back on from where I got off and went to the end of the line, which isn't far. And right there, I just stayed on the bus, when the other way past the DSW, and went home often saying to myself "Crazy morning".

I think next time I go back to that shopping center, I'll go a different way, meaning form of transportation.

As for today, not much. My mom is having a birthday dinner tonight and I'm meeting with my family. But also not worrying about the classy benefit for the art gallery I intern at. There will be many more in the future, it's no problem if I miss this one. I also watched a movie today on Netflix. One of those straight-to-DVD releases called Wedding Weekend, which was about a male A Capella Group that reunites for one of the member's wedding. It was a comedy and drama with an ensemble cast and great acting.

It was OK. The acting was good and I like the story line, but it was a lot of A Capella singing.

Day 14

Today wasn't as busy as this weekend will be.

HI intern in an art gallery. And this weekend is going to be as busy for me.

Friday - The art gallery is having a benefit at an elite venue in Chicago for a fundraiser. And I'm not going to that because my mom's birthday is that day and i'm sure she would rather spend it with her family than the place she's the board member off. I'm just an intern .

Saturday - The village of Oak Park is opening some of their art studios for people to come and see how their work. I'm going to that and the art gallery is having an iced cream. I'm going to go to that and my parents are going to go to a wedding for the lady who's the director of an organization my dad is the president of.

Sunday - The art gallery is having an opening for pieces to support Breast Cancer Research and that's kind of rare because we never have openings on Sunday mornings. Usually they're on Friday nights. Well, they're always on Friday nights. And that's my parents anniversary, too.

Today was busy planning for Friday night, but I'm sure as the weekend comes starting on Friday, my blog posts will be more busy and somewhat adventurous.

Day 13

I should feel evil.

Today at lunch, I actually ate a hot dog. I'm not kidding. I even had it with a cheese sauce on it. And it was kind of tasty. And to make it even worse, I had another hot dog for dinner. And not only did it have cheese but it had chili sauce and onions as well.

How can people still like me for that as I never ate a hot dog because of it's questionable origin.

And you'll never believe this either. A few nights ago, I actually drank a root bear. I hate Root Bear. It's too creamy and ultra-sweet and I can't stand it. And this was Mug Root Bear.

Hot dogs and root bear within the same week. I am an awful person. It's hypocritical.

Day 12

I forgot to post again yesterday. But as i said earlier, it doesn't mean I have to post roughly 90 posts.

As of yesterday, I actually forgot what I did.

After dinner, I did watch two movies last night. Both on Netflix. First I watched Aaron Eckhart in Love Happens. It was so sad and very dark. It was really good. And then I ended it with a comedy. I watched Dane Cook and Kate Hudson in My Best Friend's Girl. That one was really funny. Sure, it was a lot about sex, but still funny.

Although I can't remember what else I did yesterday.

Today was alright. I did some shopping, tried a lemon-line soda that you can't just get anywhere, because it wasn't Sierra Mist. So today was OK. I did some writing and other things.

I just hate these lifeless days. Some days I have my internships and others I work on my writing, and then I start my posts with "So today was OK".

I hope better stuff will happen within fall. At least the days are starting to get cold.

Day 11

Today was a day of cleaning. And I mean damp mopping, using windex on windows and mirrors, and vacuuming.

I am not so good at that. i'm a terrible cleaner. I probably don't do a good enough job, or I may miss a spot, or the fact that sometimes I have to be on my hands and knees.

And don't even get me started on yard work. I almost broke my back while shoveling, the leaves I rake keep spreading in the wind, and, well, the outside is dirty. I once fell in the dirt. It was dry weather, so it was just dusty than muddy.

I'm more of an organizer as opposed to a cleaner. I can dust, mop, vacuum, wash, etc. But then it gets really tiring. I am not into yard work, that's for sure.

Just glad that I ended it with going out to dinner and then getting to my blog while preparing that Halloween film.

Day 10

OK, not a lot today.

I taught myself how to use video-editing programs on the computer and cut down clips and stuff.

I'm also watching some episodes of Bewitched on DVD and trying to start a Halloween film, not a fantasy one this time, but can't get started with it.

Someday, within the next fall days of 2010, I should explain my favorite films that I wrote. One of them is a comedy/romance/fantasy that I wrote called Modern Day Prince. It's supposed to be a Halloween movie.

Cassie Reynolds is in her late-20s, music editor at a magazine, and lives a Sex and the City life style. (Even though i haven't seen Sex and the City). Cassie has her three best friends, one of whom, Olivia, is throwing a Halloween gala and everyone has to dress up as a prince or a princess. Upset that Cassie can't find a date, the TV turns on with a sign of fate for a number that Cassie calls a prince is brought to her. A Renaissance prince to be exact. Prince Colin. As she introduces him to the world, her father, Mr. Reynolds, and Olivia come to despise him. But when Cassie meets Ryan, she should decide if she goes with the prince who was given to her or her real Prince Charming.

I wrote it in 2008, around Halloween, and I like bragging about that one. But I'm not the type to want to watch a horror movie marathon on Halloween night. I can't handle that. The Exorcist, Psycho, and The Silence of the Lambs is enough.

I'll explain more of my films as the months go by.

Day 9

Crazy day.

Today wasn't too bad. I went to my old town of Oak Park today to go to a tea merchant to get some silent auction items and planned on being in Oak Park for a few hours until my filming that afternoon.

While figuring out what to do, I see that Easy A was going to start in fifteen minutes and wanted to see it. So I get ticket, some snacks at the concession stand, and it was really funny. A classic teen comedy a la Mean Girls.

Then when it came time for filming, I found my subject and then filmed him at his house. He is a great speaker and was like a one-take-wonder. I, however, will have footage on the gag reel. But you know, I've only been in one play in high school. I am not an actor.

I'm just glad my part is done unless I need to stage my appearance in the documentary again.

Then I ended it with arriving at a dinner part happening at my house, but it was very casual. Instead of candles and cloth tablecloths, it was chili. Mostly chili with toppings and desserts and casual talk. Just good to know it wasn't my importance that I show up. So I wasn't exactly missed.

Day 8

Not so much today.

I went to my art class then lunch (had tirimisu in a margarita glass) and then went to my internship.

And then watched my regular ABC night with The Middle, Emmy-winning Modern Family, and the incredible funny Cougar Town, with another show before Modern Family.

And now I'm teaching myself how to edit a sample video before I teach myself to use a video camera tomorrow.

Actually, the sample video is a video my friend made once.

Day 7

OK, today had some adventure.

So I go to my regularly scheduled internship and turns out that today is not so busy. I just decided to see what I should do before I get back home.

It ended up with two hours sitting in a park trying to figure out where to go. I decide to spontaneously get on a bus right when school is getting out. There are least 10 high school students chatting and laughing and driving me nuts. I decided to go to the mall and browse some stores to see if I should get a newsboy cap. I am so mad that I can never pull one off. But I found a corduroy one that will go great with me jacket, but decide on checking another store to find it cheaper. I found one at Gap ten dollars cheaper than the one I saw in JC Penny. But I still didn't get it.

And then I decided to go right on home on the bus. The thing about today or really in general is that I don't care for spontaneity. I like planning what to do instead of just doing it out of the blue.

Fortunately, my long and kind of boring day will get better when I watch a new episode of Glee tonight, the anticipated Britney Spears episode.

Day 6

OK, so what was today?

Currently, I'm at my grandfather's where my own dad and brother and uncle are watching a football game while I'm in another room working on some scripts.

As I have Halloween on my mind now, I'm writing a fantasy film in honor of the Halloween. It's called Immortal Wedding, and it's about a woman who's fiance is under a spell to marry a witch and then be killed. Since I just started it, I haven't even gotten close to where the plot starts. I'll give more details about it in future posts. And the wedding date is set for Sunday, October 31st of this year.

Nothing new on the documentary I'm going to make. When I do some physical work on it, I'll post it for that day.

Here's a new feature. At the end of my posts, I'm going to post anything that I'm currently doing at the time of writing. Just to see if someone will see it and say "How are you liking that (blank)?"

Day 5

Sorry I forgot to post yesterday. It wasn't until I after Saturday Night Live today just after 12:00 that I realized. I could have if I wanted to, but then I thought "You know, if I'm blogging through roughly 90s of Fall, it doesn't mean I have to post roughly 90 blog posts."

Anyways, yesterday, I just did some puzzles in variety puzzle books, watched a documentary called Stevie, had some tacos for dinner, watched my Netflix movie, The Nanny Diaries and ended with the season premier of Saturday Night Live with Amy Poehler and Katy Perry as the musical guest. And some other familiar faces.

So far today, I made a cake with apples in it, but it turned out really bad. I couldn't eat one more bite. I know that's what people say when they're full, but after the first bite, I hated it. Really, I hate cake, but this was awful. Unless it's cheesecake, which I love. But this was disgusting. And I have a whole pan of it. I think I'll just give it to someone else and let them suffer with it.

Fortunately, I will have forgotten about the nasty cake as I watch the season premiere of The Simpsons featuring some guest stars from Glee, which I also love.

Friday, September 24, 2010

Day 4

Today was really busy.

I cleaned and straightened the house for some friends i was having over for a party. and i tasted some really good stuff.

I tried a spicy hummus that's great with tortilla chips. And had some Havarti cheese with some basil inside it that reminds me of brie, but it's not. And even tried a new kind of pico de gallo with something that made it spicy that I never even made before. I make very good pico de gallo and I always dip those restaurant-style tortilla chips in it. But I add sat. i could tell that some salt wasn't added to this one, but it was still good.

See, that's one of the points of this "blogging every day" thing. To try new experiences and note them to readers. I'll post more experiences of other things if they're interesting enough. If not, then I'll still post anyways.

Day 3

Today was not so unique. I'm sure better things will happen until December 21st.

Watched some Modern Family on DVD, then went to a meeting, and watched my NBC shows plus a new one.

OK, so today was far from adventurous. Let's just hope something better will happen in the next three months.

Wednesday, September 22, 2010

Day 2

What a weird day.

The weather was really crazy. Rainy, then raining, then strangely sunny, then rainy, then raining again, and cloudy until the sun went down.

But I did get to look forward to some season premieres of ABC tonight starting with The Middle starring Patricia Heaton, then a new show, and then some Modern Family, and ending with Jennifer Aniston guest starring and reuniting with Courtney Cox on Cougar Town..

It all ended well until my dog decided to bite me in my face. I suffered bloody left hands with scabs and scars all over the place, but this time, he unleashed a hidden attitude and decided to go for my cheeks causing me to bite my own tongue and shedding blood down my face. Tears formed in my eyes, grunts came out of my mouth, and tissues are being held at my cheeks right now.

I just meant the weather was weird, but then the whole day was.

Day 1

Hello, everyone.

This right here is my third blog. I started one a little over a year ago and dedicated it to Julie Powell, then about a month ago, I started a new one but only got to three posts. It was about the photography I do, but the pictures I added were saved on the hard drive of my computer and I think it might have crashed - again. Same thing happened at the beginning of this year.

As for this one, I know I can keep dedicated to it. I'm a very determined person.

In this, I'll just write my what my fall is like for 2010. As it goes along, you'll get to know me more and see what I'm like.

As for today, I was in a downtown area of my old town of Oak Park and decided to do a little shopping. On a sale rack, I saw that the first season of ABC's Modern Family was available. I later found out it was released today, too. I was torn between that or NBC's Community.

As for other things, I continued some preparation for a documentary I'm going to make. That I'll explain in later posts. There will be a lot more information on it. Basically, it's about an artist friend of mine. He's an artist in both ways. He's a musician and a painter and he's very good. I'll keep updated with it as I post more in the next three months.

Be back tomorrow. :)
